Hi there! My name is David Sinclair with Clarity Car Washing, a mobile detailing business I run with my significant other here in San Diego and we’re doing a free interior restoration of a neglected car for people that also give back to the community. While they may be really struggling themselves, they seek to help others, so they deserve a freshly clean car!
Being someone who came from a single-mother household I know how hard it is for families to have the extra time, energy and money to put into their car. So we created this free interior restoration as a way to give back to the community. Often car detailing is only for those with expendable money to have their car professionally cleaned from the comfort of their home or business when they don’t have the time. It’s a great service that our clients have come to know and love. However, for those who don’t have that kind of money, often they don’t get to know that fantastic feeling of a thoroughly cleaned vehicle.
We aim to change that.
A quick overview of the process: Introduction of the project and what we’re going to be cleaning. This is an opportunity for the recipient of the restoration to share their story to as much or as little detail as they want. Then after the introduction is the actual cleaning process. I would be the one detailing the vehicle and I would video record the process of cleaning the vehicle from top to bottom. After a couple of days of work, we will show the vehicle to the person and film their reaction (if they are okay with this, and we can always blur out faces).
It’s a service we price at $500+ so the main thing is it goes to the right person.
